A speculative future story

Explore Anna Fink's route yourself

During Building Bridges, landscape architect Anna Fink explores the nature reserve De Esch through fictional characters and speculative futures. The result is the story The dogs had known for a while, which allows you to get to know De Esch from a completely different perspective. Download the story via the button below and let De Esch guide you from the curious and always friendly perspective of the dog.

Sunday 1 february, landscape architect Anna Fink will take you on an alternative tour of the nature reserve, told through non-human stories about the future. Here, she combines historical memories with fiction and imagination. What might the future of De Esch look like through the eyes of the dog? As you listen to her fables recited along the way, you will be invited sense this delta landscape differently.

Landscape architect Anna Fink splits her time between the Netherlands and Austria. In her work, she explores how we connect with the landscapes in which we live and move. Her fieldwork combines listening, experiencing and imagining. She develops spatial interventions, stories and encounters that focus on personal experiences with a place, in order to imagine new ways of living together with the environment.
