Saturday 20 June 2026
Experience architecture from early morning until late at night with an inspiring program throughout the city. At any time of day, you’ll experience Rotterdam in a new way, with tours, talks, workshops, and performances. This year, the Day and Night of Architecture focuses on the newest additions and renowned classics.

Start your architecture day at 5:00 a.m. at C93. Experience the sunrise from this former bank building on Coolsingel, which is being transformed into a Paris Proof monument by Paul de Ruiter Architects. Afterwards, visit architects at home: Robert and Mieke Winkel in the Schiecentrale, Enzo Valerio in Studio Playtime, and Marco Vermeulen and Joyce Langezaal in their House on the Maas. You’ll get a personal insight into their work and living environments.

Discover the newest high-rise buildings in the city center with POST and the Baantoren. Or visit the tiny yet luxurious home The Cabanon, an apartment of just 7 m². Outside the center, surprising projects also open their doors, such as the pavilion in Plaswijckpark, the luxurious residential buildings on Landgoed de Hoven, and the circular center De HER, the public winner of the Rotterdam Architecture Prize 2025.

After nightfall, Rotterdam’s classics come to life with performances by musicians, artists, and other creatives. Huis Sonneveld celebrates its 25th anniversary as a museum house. The Van Nelle Factory is also open in the evening, including the rooftop tearoom. This year, special attention is given to classics in the southern part of the city: from the monumental Dossche Mills facility at Maashaven to the World Port Center on Wilhelminapier.
