In the workshop Fun Guns the architects of Studio-Method show how to build with waste materials. The afternoon begins with a scavenger hunt around the OMI neighborhood, where participants dig through containers to uncover a variety of building materials. Fun fact: by examining the contents of the containers, you can get a sense of what the people inside the houses are working on. Afterward, everyone collaborates on a construction project in the OMI courtyard. Using the salvaged materials and nail guns, an arch takes shape. The workshop wraps up with a short presentation by Studio-Method, where they explain their approach of reusing materials in their designs.
