Day and Night of Architecture
Saturday 14 juni 2025
Discover Rotterdam’s architecture from early morning until late into the night with an inspiring programme along the river, from east to west. At any time of the day, you can experience the city in a different way. On Saturday, 14 June, creative makers, architects, entrepreneurs and residents will showcase the city from unique perspectives through tours, workshops, in-depth discussions and performances.

At the festival hub of Rotterdam Architecture Month, architects Violette Schönberger and Marjolein van Eig will discuss the future of the city. Meanwhile, visitors can explore the newest homes in the Lloydkwartier district from the inside, while across the river, the Dossche Mills flour factory will open its doors to the public. In the Lloydkwartier, architects will showcase how this former harbour district is evolving into a sought-after residential area. Visitors can explore transformed warehouses such as De Herder and Jobsveem and get an inside look at the brand-new Lloyd Yard Docks, a collective housing project where residents collaborated with architects to design their own homes.
The Merwe-Vierhavens area (M4H) is one of the largest redevelopment zones in the western part of the city, where living, working, creativity and leisure come together. Today, its historic warehouses serve as hubs for many creative makers and culinary entrepreneurs. During the Day and Night festival, you’ll experience the best of both worlds. As part of a ‘walk & dine’ event in collaboration with the culinary concept Hidden Gem, visitors will explore Keilepand, Katoenhuis, Kunst & Complex and Brutus. And during Classics by Night, you can explore the Delftse Poort and the Van Nelle Factory, with the Oostelijk Zwembad as this year’s special architectural highlight.
