Dive into a surreal, multidisciplinary experience that stimulates your senses in unprecedented ways. Together with food designer Trang Hà and sound artist Roc Montoriol, Md-2 architects shows what the collage techniques of artist Jiří Kolář can mean for architecture and artistic practices.

This interactive performance, a cross-disciplinary triptych, invites you to discover and get a taste of techniques such as linear slicing, arbitrary crumpling, stratified layering or composed perforations, being applied to architecture, culinary art and sonic dimension. Generating unique and unexpected results.

About Md-2:

Md-2 architects is an architectural practice exploring the site specificity of a place, aiming on extracting and revealing its existing material and immaterial layers. In their research ‘Description by Design’, they translate surrealist methodologies into architectural instrumentarium. The practice regularly seeks cross-disciplinary collaborations, opening the field of architecture to a wider spectrum of influences.

About Trang Hà:

Trang Hà is a Vietnamese multidisciplinary artist and designer who works closely with food. She investigates various cooking methods, focusing on techniques that amplify transformative processes at the intersections of life, body, food, and the environment. Her dinner performances often incorporate storytelling and sound.

About Roc Montoriol:

Roc Montoriol is a sound artist based in The Hague, and currently pursuing a Master’s degree at the Institute of Sonology. His practice combines an interest in plant bioacoustics, sonic ecology, and performativity to explore the geo-biological entwinements between humans, nonhumans, and places.
