Join artist Merel Smitt on a journey through De Esch and experience the landscape from different perspectives. In her work, she regularly uses short invitations or instructions that encourage you to experience a place or situation in a new way. These prompts – poetic, activist, spatial instructions – each encourage reflection or action. How do we use public space, how do we experience everyday places? And how can we relate to the urban and natural landscape in De Esch?

During the interactive tour, you will dive into creating prompts together with Merel. Using examples from her own work, you will get to work creating your own prompts, which you can then share and exchange with others. Be inspired and discover how a simple clue can change your view of De Esch!

During the Building Bridges manifestation, Merel creates prompts to view the existing environment of De Esch with different eyes. Her work, which is constantly being expanded, is on display in the exhibition at OMI.
