City of Memories is an ongoing project by artist/architect Bart Isings. It is a subjective representation of memories and the temporality of things. “The scenes are based on early memories of the city I grew up in, mixed with new impressions, collected over time.” Isings intuitively imagines the places as they exist in his thoughts and dreams. Interpreting his collection of images over and over again, an endless series of drawings, paintings and collages originate.
