An extraordinary collective that challenges you to walk beyond your own perspective, just when everyone seems to be living in their own bubble. Wander through urban landscapes and read the city through the eyes of special fellow urbanites such as unintended artists, refugees, girls of 10, urban pigeons or “the silence. How it works
Walking Club of City Readers is similar to a reading club. But instead of a book you read a (main) piece of city. As a member you can choose which (main) parts of the city you want to ‘read’ and thus which walks you want to participate in. You can become a member of Wandelclub der Stadslezers for € 15.00 per year. In addition, you become part of an inspiring club of people and have the opportunity to book your favorite walks for € 17.50.

The Sunken Maas Tunnel
On Friday, June 27, OMI is organizing an excursion through the Maastunnel in Rotterdam.For nearly 85 years, Rotterdammers have been walking, cycling and driving up and down the oldest immersed tunnel in the Netherlands. As a true Rotterdam icon, the Maas Tunnel carries with it an enormous number of stories due to its daily users. From unexpected encounters that lead to new loves, to rushed mornings and running laps. Walk with this chapter of the Walking Club of City Readers and experience the hidden stories of the Maas Tunnel together with an artist. It will be a special encounter under the surface of the river where at the lowest point everything comes together.
