11 Stories about Architecture
11 November 2026 - 30 January 2027
Hear Slowly and See (2022), Gyz La Rivière
Rondje Ruit (2016), Jeroen Erosie
OMI celebrates its eleventh anniversary by presenting 11 remarkable stories from recent years. Take a journey through time and through the city, from the history of the Land van Hoboken, via Zuidplein and the urban renewal neighbourhoods, to the future of the Esch.
Gang van Zaken (2017), Marcel IJzerman
De Esch (2025), Anna Fink
The exhibition presents contemporary and idiosyncratic interpretations of the past, present and future of the city and its residents. You move through different layers of time and at different scales, from the smallest ‘private space’ in public space to large infrastructure projects. Each story offers a different perspective on a changing Rotterdam, seen through the eyes of architects, residents, artists, photographers and designers.
ZigZagCity (2023), Studio Nadia Nena
Tijd Toren (2024), Alexandra Sonnemans
The exhibition features work by Jeroen Erosie, Anna Fink, OMA, Platform Woonopgave, Gyz La Rivière, Alexandra Sonnemans in collaboration with Team Thursday, Robin Stam, Studio Nadia Nena, Studio Spass, Studio Verter in collaboration with Elisa Piazzi, and Marcel IJzerman.
