The September edition of Art Central Rotterdam XL marks the grand opening of the new cultural season. Rotterdam is completely dedicated to contemporary art and culture: 25 art spaces and institutions open their doors with special activities. At the central exhibition at NIO House, where each institution presents a work of art, you will experience the diversity of the Rotterdam art scene. OMI shows a recent work by artist Gyz La Rivière, who combines his idiosyncratic view and humor in films, installations, video art, readymades and publications.

To emphasize the presence of and the connection between the diverse players in the city, Art Central Rotterdam presents a performance program curated by Marijn Bril: A system is not the sum of its parts. During the weekend, you will find five temporary works spread across the city, connecting the different cultural areas.
