Exhibition Tour
by Iris van der Wal
15 September 2024
The 1980s were a turning point in the development of Rotterdam. Countless ideas, competitions and plans gave a huge boost to art, culture and recreation. Many new public buildings, squares and parks made the city more attractive. The exhibition takes you on a journey through the city and over time. From the Central Library to Waterstad and the Maritime Museum, to Schouwburgplein.
During Art Central Rotterdam XL, exhibition designer Iris van der Wal will give a tour at OMI, where she will share the ideas and stories behind her design for Rotterdam Cultuurstad. Her design features three installations, each representing different aspects of the architectural identity of this significant period in the city’s history.
