Participative workshop with community architect Tomi Hilsee and choreographer Floor van Leeuwen. What happens when choreography and architecture crossover? This playful workshop brings performance art and spatial practice together to explore how methodologies from each field can be adapted, tested and crossed-over. You’re invited to join us in acting out social encounter scores – moving between diagrams, action, reflection, and dialogue. Workshop followed by drinks and conversation at the OMI bar.

Times:

16:00 -18:00

Location:

OMI, Schietbaanstraat 21, Rotterdam

Tomi Hilsee & Floor van Leeuwen

Tomi Hilsee is a community architect whose approach to design is to cram as much love into a situation as possible. Interested in the fluctuating relations that make up our possibility to build things together, they stress a shift onto how we build rather than what we build.

Floor van Leeuwen is a mime choreographer, researcher, and producer, who founded Swarm Movement. With a  decentralised speakersystem and a live DJ groups of people dance through public space like ‘a swarm’. Originating during the Covid pandemic to break isolation, Swarm Movement has realized projects since 2020 with diverse partners using dance as a tool for connection, healing, and political expression within the urban landscape.
