The Laurenskwartier is the old town centre, but little remains of it following the bombing. Only the Laurenskerk still serves as a reminder of the medieval town. And the waterway connecting the New Delftste Poort with the Market Hall on the Binnenrotte, the location where Rotterdam was founded in the 13th century. On this route, you’ll find a mix of modern post-war architecture, cosy housing and large-scale landmarks.
